Easy DIY No Sew Dog Toy

As a nice way to show how much I love him, I came up with this easy DIY dog toy.  Harrison loves toys. It's a super easy no-sew dog toy. Really anyone can make it. It's as easy as 123! 

First, gather your supplies. You will need a water bottle with the lid removed, a pair of fun colored socks, and that it's it!

Put the empty water bottle into the sock top first. Then tie a knot in the end. Easy as can be!

Harrison loves the knot on the end and the crinkly noise it makes when he bites it.

Harrison loves it! We took him to a park up in the mountains to play and he loved running and fetching it. When we got it home he brought it to his toy basket behind the sofa. He likes to have his favorite things in his little hiding place back there. It's the cutest.

DIY Dog & Cat Collar Craft

DIY Dog & Cat Collar

Supplies:

• Measuring tape

• Sharp scissors

• Button down shirt with collar 

As I mentioned, this is a super quick and easy DIY dog craft. (or cat)

First, measure your cat or dog's neck making sure to leave a little give so the collar isn't too tight. To find the correct size shirt for your pet measure the inside of the shirt collar and match it as closely as possible to your pet's neck size. 

For my cats, I used a size 6-12-month-old sized shirt. For my small dog, I used a 2 T sized shirt. You could easily fit all sizes of dogs and cats with shirts ranging from preemie to XXL men's sizes. 

A new or gently used shirt works fine. To save a little I bought my shirt at a local thrift shop. 

Next, cut along the collars edge just below the rolled seam, trimming as close to the edge as possible.

That's it. Really there is nothing more to it.

Meet our Taco Terrier, Harrison Oakley Acorn. I added the Acorn because he was such a sweet tiny pup when he came home to us and had such a big name I thought acorn being a tiny thing would fit him perfectly. He had a dog bed that he liked to lay in but during his teething stage, he decided he needed to chew a hole in it and pull out the stuffing. One thing we did find is that when training him the best way to stop him from a bad behavior was to replace it with a good one. One thing I love about having a Taco Terrier is he is super easy to groom. I wash him with Burt's Bees Dog Shampoo and clip his nails. That's it.
