My name is Brenda Ungerer I'm 33 years old and a mum of 2 little girls, I live in Brisbane, Australia and I'm a stay at home mother.

What was your inspiration to start eating a low carb keto diet?

My sister in law is the person who let me in on the Keto woe and I took to it like a moth to a flame, I posted a 200 day challenge on my facebook page to keep myself accountable and off I went my inspiration was to get healthy for my kids and be who I was again at heart which is an athlete!

How much did you lose?

I have lost 40 plus kilos (88 lbs) and have kept it off almost a year!

How has it changed you and your perspective on life?

I am a much better person because of it I am happy most days and jump into my day with an energy I never knew was possible,

What is your favorite low carb keto food or recipe?

My favourite food is bacon I could eat bacon every day and never be disappointed but I do Loveeeeeee a Bulletproof coffee here and there.

Do you have some advice for someone just starting out?

My advice for anyone starting this journey is to just keep it simple. My plate always consists of 1 -2 handfuls of above ground veggies, 1 palm-sized portion of protein and 1 cupped handful of healthy fats if I'm hungry I always just snack on some healthy fats and that's really as basic as it has been for me I love this woe it is the best thing I have ever done and will continue to do for my health.
